"In international waters, strawberry daiquiris can be used as a lubricant."
"In international waters, if you have sex with Carl Mayer, you are still a virgin." "In international waters, lubricant can be used as a strawberry daiquiri." "In international waters, if you have sex with John Mayer, you are a born-again virgin." "Ass to Mouth." Oh yes... "SLAP THAT DICK!" "One time, I accidentally tagged DRH in a note, I was mortified!" "Ken Helie, what. a. bitch." "You need to fix that shit!" |

We had so much fun! One of the highlights for me were Guster's lido deck show on the last night and the jam afterwards. It really
showed the spirit of the boat to see all the musicians up there jamming together and having fun! I was cracking up and loving it every time they started a new
song.
I also enjoyed JM's lido deck show and Justin Nozuka was amazing. I am now a Justin fan for sure! I also loved Pictures and Sound and meeting Luke from the band. He was super nice! -Robin |

I'm gonna ask a stupid question. Is it basically a party boat w/a bunch of drunk people? |

Yes, Char. But not drunk all the time. Well, some of us!
Meg, don't forget, "in international waters, vomiting is an acceptable form of saying hello!" Teases for later, b/c I really shouldn't be on here right now: Anne went everywhere on the cruise (on a stick). She loved it so much, she escaped and will forever sail the Splendor wherever she may roam! (That's a cuter way of saying she fell out of my pocket Sunday night and I couldn't find her). Anne even got a lick from a very famous musician. I won't say who, but he has a boat named after him. Pics to come... John doing stand-up. Ahhhh, now THAT was a sweet surprise! Also surprising learning just how disgusting Carl is. Thank goodness Kristy inoculated me with a cooties shot after he got too close! Dancing with Meg and Erica is always a pleasure! And all the girls, really! Debbie, Brenda, Kristy, Sue...you know who you are! Watching John do the "all the single ladies" dance was priceless. Martin Sexton and James Hunter also blew my socks off, and as usual, DRH was blowing panties off everyone! So nice we saw him twice! Ryan Shaw was also amazing. Am I horrible for not seeing Nozuka, Guster or OAR? If so, so be it. I loved my experience! DJ Logic is not a good DJ if you like to dance. So he's not a good DJ. Sorry, John. John is also not a good DJ, but what he lacked in technical skill he made up for in song choice. We got lots of gems from the past! More later - sorry it's not more now!

OMG Meg you posted "You need to fix that shit!" Thank you Andy, for basically calling me a whore. Awesome, I love you.
Also, one I forgot that Leah reminded me of, "In international waters sweet & low causes turrets." "In international waters you can shot a whale with a bow & arrow." It is a big ass party with a bunch of AMAZING drunk people. Everyone is so happy and just having the time of their lives, musicians included. It was amazing. Time of my life. Best.vacation.ever. Love all you ladies! You made the experience that much more enjoyable! Alright, I'll try my best to do a recap of some of the highlights for me. Meeting the group for the limo ride, which was SO FUN! Debbie is amazing and her lovely sister Julie is a doll! You girls rocked my world. All I have to say is... "I tagged David Ryan Harris in a note one time and I was MORTIFIED!" I knew when Meg & I walked on the boat and Carl Mayer was THERE we were in for a wild ride. Then we walk around the corner and he's there again... oh Carl fucking Mayer. Dinner was lovely before OSE. Some Dr. from Grey's was there, ask the other ladies cause I don't know him. I got a wee bit too drunk from the open bar and vom'd on the first night. Go me! ha. Sara B. was fantasical. And Jordin Sparks blew me away. Friday was spent mostly on the Lido around the pool. John's welcome aboard in the shorty shorts with Carl and James Smith as his cabana boys was fantastic. Brendan James was GREAT and a really nice guy too. He could be see getting funky in the disco every night. John's Lido show was really good. His vocals were spot on and apparently we're going to Alaska next year! Watched Erin McCarley this night and I think she's fantastic! Super cute, so funny and great music. I really like her. DRH that night cause me to impregnate myself. That was my first time seeing him and I loved every minute of it. Our baby will come out with mutton chops, rockin a vest and glass of wine in hand... just sexy as hell. John, Bob, Brad and Robbie joined him onstage. So it made for a total of 8 people on that itty bitty stage. AWESOME! Went to karaoke after that and I have never seen people more into karaoke than on that boat! Dancing and singing and having the time of their lives! It was great and Ryan Shaw was excellent as host. Disco after that where we walked in and it was so crowded I asked if John was in and I turn to my right and BAM there he is a couple feet away just dancing, drinking, rapping, himself silly. This was the night the lovely Carl Mayer let us all know what we were in for. Saturday took in the Management panel with John's team. Michael McDonald was there, Ina (ticket fairy), Kris (from Mick MGMT) and that bitch Ken Helie. It was extremely insightful and I'm so glad I went. Learned what's up with the FC, what happened with Gumball, just how much of John's bitch Ken Helie is, world tour starting in Nov. LOTS of stuff. It was great. Pop trivia with Ryan Shaw after that where our team came in second place! Whoot, whoot. Unfortunately we tied with another team so we got $5 each. Took in O.A.R. that night on the Lido and they were soooo great! I knew it was gonna be good cause I had seen them at Memphis in May the year before, but it was just on a whole other level. It probably had something to do with being on cruise ship deck, breeze blowing, floating atop the sea. But yeah, LOVE those guys. I'd like to see them back next year. Disco after that where John and Co. came in and did the whole "international waters" routine. Every night he'd come in early one time and then late the next time when not so many people were there and he actually came back in this night and we didn't even know. Walked by to go to the bathroom and there the bitch was! Sunday was Cabo and it was nice, but nothing like the Caribbean. I prefer those waters, much prettier and warmer. Sailaway show was Matt Hires who was okay, nothing special. And Jessie Baylin who I just don't like. Watched Justin Nozuka, who I really enjoyed. Great voice and music. Ryan Shaw after that who is very funny and has a phenomenal voice, it's just not my style so I didn't enjoy him all that much. Then the best decision EVER to go and take in James Smith this evening. We had nice seats on the side and out comes Johnny to intro James and tell us to stick around for an open mic comedy night where he would also be performing. James was hilarious! I love him cause he's so obnoxious and just doesn't care... he says it. It was great! Then comes John who just rocked my flippin world with his standup. I would have paid the entire price of the cruise for this night of comedy alone. Greatest time EVER. Then he does the open mic night and gives away $800, it was very funny. Then Carl fucking Mayer gets up there to tell his gangbang story. Total insanity. John said it was one of the most fun nights of his life and I could tell, he was just having a blast. We were on the side of the stage were he was standing when Carl was on and he was just freaking out. It was just so fun! I'm pretty sure he did the whole thing just to get Carl up there, it was great. A lot of people were offended or turned off by John and/or Carl, but I LOVE them both for just being themselves. I do not know two people who are more okay with who they are and I find it refreshing and love it. I can't say it enough. So many people are scared to just be themselves and these guys are just who they are. No apologies and they're okay with who they are and don't try to hide it. It's great. DRH after that, which was GREAT again. JM joined him. As did all the other guys. They were all doing shots and it was ton of fun. Got pregnant again, so now I'm having twins. I don't think John came to the disco tonight, he was DJing in his private party and they were pulling people from the disco to the party. Monday was Sixthman panel which was also really insightful and great. Artist vs. Artist trivia was really funny. James Smith hosted and the lead singer of O.A.R. and drummer played Robbie from JM's band and Brian from Guster. After that went to Justin Nozuka's songwriting panel, which was also cool. Loved him acoustic and to hear about his writing process. Played flipcup, where we lost. But it was okay. Huge audience for it! Probably cause Guster and O.A.R. were playing one another. My JM show from the 2nd row was tonight and it flippin RULED! He was so happy and talking up a storm. He stopped in the middle of the show for an audience Q&A. It was just great. He had the time of his life on this cruise, which makes it all much better! He signed my poster and stole my sharpie. After that went to the disco where JM dj'd until almost 5 a.m. We left for a while and listened to the end of Guster and O.A.R. while we drank some water. That was funny! Also when we were leaving the disco JM ran past us, he was jogging circles for some reason. Went back to the disco after that where John would randomly stop the music or yell at us and remind us that we were on his boat and we would dance to his music. It was funny to hear him rapping and see him dancing. He was having a great time. He played "Don't Stop Believing" twice where he used the smoke machine to the point none of us could see shit. All the bands were in there tonight and everyone was just going crazy having the best time ever. Stalking was much less than I anticipated, I'm proud to say. It was just an all around amazing time. I'm still uploading pics and videos, so I'll post those when they're done. Any questions feel free to ask. I'm sure one of us that went could answer for you. This isn't the greatest review, but everything is swaying and I'm exhausted and I can't fucking wait until next year! It will take me on my death bed to miss this cruise ever again! |

You guys are great.....I just have to know were we actually ON the same boat? I had a blast but I swear I barely saw John...A matter of fact I felt so lonely,
I fell in love with Mark Roberge, the lead singer of O.A.R. and felt like a dirty cheating MayerWhore by the time I went to the second O.A.R. show.
Okay I admit it, I had hot naughty fan scream for Mark so much so that by the time I went to see John, the show felt well... limp. I mean, it was great...I came and all...FOR John, but maybe if Kristy wasn't the only one with Gonorrhea, I'd feel I don't know wet with excitement for the next go around. I mean maybe he could spread it around a little......lol. All I know is, I thought wow, boat, John, outside of US Jurisdiction...I'm going to be in Stalker heaven...instead half of my hearts got a right mind to tell him I can't keep loving you with-out another album. Just kidding.....I honestly only saw John at the sail away, Show2, & that night at the club...I never got within 50ft of the man.... but I'd do it all again because one night of passion (okay 2 hot, raunchy, steamy nights) with O.A.R. could never compare to way John Mayer makes me feel in just three (3) seductive grammy winning minutes. Give it to me Johnny! |

careful not to give away any real details as to the shit that went down. So be careful what you post.

HollBeth wrote:**ETA: Erica's post is making me want to edit mine, lol. I got some "International Waters" on tape. In general though, I felt bad to tape John...so that's all I got. SECTION DELETED. His single ladies dance is quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen. I had to talk myself out of taping that. Agreed that John is a horrible DJ, good at choosing songs, not so good at making them blend together. He's gonna have to work on that. Loved DJ Jazzy John none the less. He was clearly exhausted and he DJ'd for us anyway. I am officially musically obsessed with Justin Nozuka. Loved him, his shows, voice, performances, songwriting session. Loved his band. Absolutely amazing. The guitarist might think we were creeps but it was totally a coincidental kind of stalking. His drummer was totally cool. Ryan Shaw was the party starter of the ship for sure. Totally missed Guster and Erin McCarley?. Caught a bit of Matt Hires, OAR and Jessie Baylin. Saw everyone else though. Loved the bands! Loved being able to mingle with all the artists. It was very cool to see the day 1obscure artists get bothered for pictures on day 3. Lauren touched Carl Mayer in a 100% G sort of way (absolutely hilarious) SECTION DELETED. I'm sure he's got some stories to tell. James Smith was hilarious. SECTION DELETED. John Mayer is one hell of a raunchy guy. Love it. Bring it. Nothing shocks me. Maybe that makes me a sicko...but then again John must be one too so I'm in good company. I thought the John Mayer Trio (haha) was hilarious and brought lots of entertainment, so kudos to them. I can't knock their good time. DRH was stellar. I have no flipping idea how he got all those people on that tiny little stage, but he did it. Amazing performances (as I think back I'm starting to regret not taping more. I have like 10 minutes total of tape, darnit). Sixthman is (are) my hero(s) because that was absolutely amazing. I would go on a non-John Mayer cruise just for the experience of it all. The Rock Boat next year? It's a huge possibility. Defintely packed way too much crap. No one did the freaking theme nights. All we ate were burgers, pizza and ice cream. I'm still exhausted and trying to keep it together at work. Loved meeting everyone. And um, that's all for now. patientv wrote:That was me with Justin Nozuka. Totally felt like a traitor.

I think we should reserve all the crazy stories for places that they can't be stolen from us.
Remember what John said at the second show. I agree on the video too Candice, I taped music only, other than the last night and I taped the disco, just because I wanted to capture the madness of the place. And I really wrestled with whether or not to post "Heartbreak Warfare" on YouTube. I wish I had gotten some of DRH's set on tape, I LOVE that man! And I adore John, James and Carl. Those boys are themselves and ok with who they are, which is so rare to find these days! |

I'm with you Candice - nothing shocks me, and pure, unadulterated raunch can be a beautiful thing! I'm sorry V you didn't get your
"stalk" on (haha). I was just lucky to be going to the right places at the right times to catch him and his johntourage having a good time.
I love that the man is fearless - "You are not wilder than me," he said. And that he said he's thought of everything he would say (duh) and that he's just owning it. People can say all they want, but you can't fuck with a guy who says, "Fuck you, too." Oh, Carl...I think the Mayercraft could be renamed the Carl Mayer Booty Call Center! P.S. - Tracy, how was YOUR cruise and YOUR birthday????? Share it here, too!
